I'd like to think it feels as good as it looks there Sheila
Sheila, in Spain mostly: Thanks for the comment. San Jose is a seaside town with a fishing harbour and a leisure harbour (this photo). In reality, it is all better than it looks. Best to park the car in town and then just walk and look and enjoy it all.
I always enjoy visiting harbours for the interesting vessels and bird life found there. This is lovely, Sheila, vivid colours and tempting blue sea which beckons me in.
What camera do you use, as I don't recognise the make and model from your data?
Sheila, in Spain mostly: Thanks for the comment Paul. Not a great deal of bird life at this particular place, but plenty of fish of all sizes in the clear water.
My camera is an Olympus C70 Zoom, well past its prime, but has done me very well and done a lot of hard work. It lives is a padded bag inside my handbag and is with me all the time. I am very close to buying a new one, but I have so many memory cards that I think it has to be an Olympus or Fuji. My problem is what do I really want, and can what I want still fit in my handbag. Any advice?
I love harbours and my wife is drawn to them like a magnet. Though neither of us are sailors! Nice picture Sheila, I'd like to see more of this harbour
Good evening Sheila. To be honest it all comes down to what you are happy to spend and what sort of performance you are looking for, as there are so many truly brilliant little digital cameras on the market these days.
Now, I've never had to worry about one fitting in my handbag personally... ha ha but, I can really recommend the NIKON COOLPIX range and the CANON IXUS range (70/80/85 & 90 series). Both offer a billion zillion megapixels for clarity and detail, lot's of functions and are very small indeed. There are many cheaper models out there, to suit all pockets, and you do not have to spend a fortune to get fine shots in my opinion (but I am old fashioned and believe that you get what you pay for).
That's probably been of no help whatsoever, so I shall get my coat now....
